Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026

Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how CC California Cash, operated by Otane, Inc. ("California Cash," "we," "us") handles personal information collected through www.torrancepaydayloan.com, by phone, and at our store at 1223 W Carson Street, Torrance, California.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: name, address, phone number, date of birth, government-issued identification, employer, income and job history, bank information, and the details of your request.
  • Information about your loan: loan terms, payment history and communications with us.
  • Information from others: consumer reports and credit information from credit reporting agencies where permitted, and verification of employment or income.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and visit times, collected automatically through cookies and similar tools.

How we use information

  • To review requests, verify identity and decide whether to offer a payday loan
  • To make, service and collect payday loans, and to communicate with you about them
  • To prevent fraud and comply with laws such as the USA PATRIOT Act
  • To improve the Site and understand how it is used
  • To respond to your questions and requests

How we share information

We share personal information only as permitted by law. This may include sharing with service providers that help us operate (for example, technology, payment and document-handling providers) under obligations to protect the information; with lenders in a third-party network that review online requests; with credit reporting agencies to verify your request or report loan performance; with regulators, courts and law enforcement when required; and in connection with a sale or transfer of our business. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) privacy notice

The federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act requires financial companies to tell customers how they collect and share nonpublic personal information. The categories we collect are described above. We share nonpublic personal information with the parties described in the previous section in order to process transactions you request, service your loan, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements, all of which the law permits without your authorization. We do not share your nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated companies so that they can market their own products to you. Because we share only as described, no opt-out is required by federal law for this sharing. If you would like to limit any other sharing or have questions, contact us at our Torrance store or by phone at (310) 787-7587. We protect nonpublic personal information with physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, and we limit access to employees and providers who need it. We continue to protect information after a customer relationship ends.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Online request form and form provider

Our online request form at /apply/ is processed through a secure third-party form service. The information you enter is transmitted to that service to process your request, and requests may be reviewed by lenders in a third-party network. Approval is not assured. The form provider has its own privacy terms. You may instead request a payday loan in person at our Torrance store, where a written agreement and disclosures are provided before you sign.

Cookies and analytics

The Site may use basic cookies and analytics tools to remember preferences, measure traffic and improve performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may then work differently.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Our payday loans are only for adults.

Your choices and access

You may ask us to correct inaccurate information or tell us how you prefer to be contacted. California residents may have additional rights under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) where it applies, and the California Financial Information Privacy Act. California residents can read our Privacy Choices page. See our Text Message Policy for texts.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the current version.

Important information. CC California Cash is operated by Otane, Inc. and is licensed by the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) pursuant to the California Deferred Deposit Transaction Law. A California payday loan (deferred deposit transaction) is limited to a $300 check; the fee may not exceed 15% of the check ($45), so the most you can receive is $255. Example: a $255 advance with a $45 fee repaid in 14 days has an APR of 460.16%; the APR is higher for shorter terms and lower for longer terms. Payday loans are meant for short-term emergency needs, not long-term financial solutions. There are no rollovers or extensions, and you cannot be prosecuted for a returned check. Requests made online through our website form may be reviewed by lenders in a third-party network that set their own terms; approval is not guaranteed and lenders may verify your information and check your credit. To check a license or file a complaint, contact the DFPI at 1-866-275-2677.
