Text Message Policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026

About our text messages

If CC California Cash sends text messages, we send them only to customers and applicants who have given us their mobile number and agreed to receive them. This policy explains what we send, how to stop messages and how to get help.

Your consent

By giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts, whether on a form, by phone or in person, you consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) to receive text messages from CC California Cash at that number, including messages sent using an automated system. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of applying for or obtaining a payday loan or any other product or service. You can contact our store by phone or in person without agreeing to texts.

What we may send

  • Updates about your request or payday loan, such as requests for documents or information
  • Reminders about your repayment date and account notices
  • Responses to questions you ask us
  • Service and customer care messages

Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your activity, such as the status of your request or loan.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.

How to opt out: STOP

You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply, you will not receive further texts unless you opt in again. You can also call us at (310) 787-7587 or tell us in person. Opting out of texts does not affect your payday loan, and we may still contact you by phone about your account.

How to get help: HELP

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or call (310) 787-7587 during store hours (Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM).

Carriers

Wireless carriers and their affiliates are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and device and cannot be assured.

Keeping your number current

Please tell us if you change or give up your mobile number so that messages do not reach someone else. Only give us a number you own or are authorized to use. Do not text sensitive details such as your full Social Security number or bank login information.

Privacy of text messages

We use your number and message content as described in our Privacy Policy. Anyone with access to your phone can read messages, so please protect your device.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the current version.

At California Cash we are licensed under the State of California to provide payday loans at a regulated rate. Our fees follow California law and are disclosed in writing before you sign.

Licensed by the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation pursuant to the California Deferred Deposit Transaction Law.

Important information. CC California Cash is operated by Otane, Inc. and is licensed by the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) pursuant to the California Deferred Deposit Transaction Law. A California payday loan (deferred deposit transaction) is limited to a $300 check; the fee may not exceed 15% of the check ($45), so the most you can receive is $255. Example: a $255 advance with a $45 fee repaid in 14 days has an APR of 460.16%; the APR is higher for shorter terms and lower for longer terms. Payday loans are meant for short-term emergency needs, not long-term financial solutions. There are no rollovers or extensions, and you cannot be prosecuted for a returned check. Requests made online through our website form may be reviewed by lenders in a third-party network that set their own terms; approval is not guaranteed and lenders may verify your information and check your credit. To check a license or file a complaint, contact the DFPI at 1-866-275-2677.
